Today is the final day of the 21-day Curation Challenge issued by Kelly McCausey, and yes I will be getting my mug!
I wanted to finish the challenge with something that felt…special.
So I went outside of the writing and self-publishing blogs I usually visit and am sharing a blog that covers another love: that of doing your own thing.
Chris Guillebeau IS a writer and he does talk a lot about writing on his blog, but he also talks about travel and other things too. The blog? It’s called the Art of Non-Conformity and he calls it a home for unconventional people doing remarkable things. It’s one of those blogs that just makes you feel good when you read it.
I love that! And I love his philosophy which is this:

“The Art of Non-Conformity Blog Philosphy:”
1. You don’t have to live your life the way other people expect.
2. You can do good things for yourself and help other people at the same time.
3. If you don’t decide for yourself what you want to get out of life, someone else will end up deciding for you.
4. There is usually more than one way to accomplish something.

This is so much the essence of my own Freestyle Author philosophy that I had to make this my “crowning piece” of this challenge.
To satisfy the content sharing part of the challenge I need to choose a particular post to share with you. I chose: If You Want to Write A Book, Go to a Boring Place
It fits with my own personal thoughts about the upcoming Writing Date Day, which is to go somewhere quiet and low-key.
I know a lot of people choose places like coffee shops and cafes, but I think I’d end up doing too much people-watching and not enough writing.
I’ll choose the library or the park.
How about you? Where do you like to write?
Much Happiness and Success!
